We’ll be at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park on August 6th & 7th, 2021 for the Perseid meteor shower. We’ll be there for meteor watching and DSO observing on the 6th starting at Sunset, Solar observing during the day on the 7th and meteor watching and DSO observing on the 7th starting at Sunset (weather permitting). The event is open only to anyone camping at the park. If you want to observe what is billed as the best meteor shower on Earth, you will need to make a camping reservation at the park to attend.
If you can’t make it to the Prairie, the best time for meteor watching is from 1 am to Sunrise.

We’ll be doing a presentation at Colt Creek on Saturday, August 28, 2021, starting at 7:00 pm. We’re going to talk about “Solar System Graphics”, the “designs” of the planets’ “dances”.
And as always, we’ll have some “goodies” for the kids. And as always, we’ll be doing our usual observing afterward (weather permitting).
We guarantee that it will be informative, educational and entertaining.
