    Kissimmee Prairie Preserve
    33104 NW 192nd Ave, Okeechobee, FL 34972

Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park is our newest venue. It is also our darkest venue. The “Prairie” is an International Dark Sky Association official dark sky area. We were there in August and the view was (and is) fantastic. The Milky Way is absolutely marvelous in a dark sky. We hope to do a presentation on one (or both) nights (To Be Determined). The celestial viewing is a definite “Go”. We’ll be looking at all the “Eye candy” goodies of the universe (star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies (far, far, away) as soon as it gets dark enough.
This event is open to the public, but you must be camping in the park to attend.
