    If your kids are in the Polk District elementary schools, be sure to ask if your school has been invited to the Circle B Bar “Water, Wings and Wild Things” outing. We’ll be there for Solar viewing and talking about Light Pollution. We’ll have information for the kids and teachers.

    Bartow Friday Fest
    Main St. & E. Wilson Ave., Bartow

    The 3rd Friday of every month is Friday Fest in Bartow. Its a block party for the city. We set up at Main St. & S Wilson Ave. with our telescopes for the public to stop by and look at what’s up in the night sky that night. The party starts at 6:00 pm, but we’ll be there a little earlier with solar scopes to look at the Sun.
    So, come on out and see what’s in the night sky.

    Every year, Bok Tower hosts a “Dark Sky Celebration” to introduce people to the pleasures of dark skies in the absence of light pollution. To show everyone what is to be seen in dark skies, we’ll be at the astronomy field with our telescopes to let you look at the wonders of the universe. And if your there before Sunset, we’ll have our Solar scopes set up for a look at the Sun.

We “get around” to several different venues and events during the year. We hope to see you at as many of these events as you can come to.
