Our Astronomy Night in February will be at Mackay Gardens in Lake Alfred, FL on February 17th starting at 7:00 pm.

We’ll be there with our telescopes to observe the wonders of the universe. And this is a great time of the year for observing. The air is cool and clear. The humidity is dropping so the “seeing” is getting good. And some of the best astronomical “stuff” is visible this time of the year. We’ll “focus” our telescopes on star clusters, nebulae and even galaxies far, far away. There’s so much out there. There will be plenty of things for the whole family to experience.

But we don’t want you to come out just to see the universe. We’ll have our usual informative and “entertaining” presentation before we get the scopes out and bring the universe to you. So, what are we going to talk about? Meteors. Well, actually, we’ll talk about meteoroids, meteors and meteorites. And don’t forget bolides. If you don’t know that one, come out and learn something new.

Remember, “the show goes on” rain or shine, so don’t let the weather stop you. And we give everyone a chance to ask questions and make comments. We want you to be involved. And we keep it pretty basic so everyone can understand it. And we have special astronomy stuff for the kids, (that’s the young in age, not the just young at heart), who participate.

So come out for a night to remember, let us bring the universe to you. You’ll be glad you came.

Until then,

Clear Skies & Keep looking up.
